You were created by a loving God and you have great value. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. We were all created by a loving God who knew about us even before we were born. We are here for a purpose, and we can find ultimate fulfillment by entering into a relationship with Him.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
God knew you before you were born, even while you were in your mother’s womb. He knows about your family, where you grew up and even now knows exactly where you are at. God has never been absent from you life, but always watching over you and wants to give you a brand new start and a new way of living. He can do that when you give him your life. You see God wants a personal relationship with you now and forevermore.
John 17:3 – And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
God is not some force or an unspeaking or unseeing idol, or merely another name for your own self-esteem. Instead, God is a person, your Creator, who created you to be in a relationship with Him. Why? Because simply God loves you!
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
You can turn your life over to God’s control because he loves you and wants the very best for you. In fact, he loves you so much that he gave his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you. When you trust God, you are actually trusting the One who created you and sent His one and only Son to die for you. When you turn your life over to him, you are giving your life to the One who knows you inside out.
However, your sins right now keeps you from having a personal relationship with God.
What is sin?
James 4:17 – Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
1 John 3:4 – Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Who has sinned?
The Bible says, “all” have sinned. We are human it’s in our DNA we cannot help it. When Adam, “the one man,” sinned, sin entered the human race and sinfulness is part of our natures.
Romans 3:23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
So what is so bad about sin?
Sin leads to death. Because God is perfect, he cannot have anything to do with us because we are sinners. He wants to have a personal relationship with us, but he cannot because of sin! So what did God do?
He sent us Jesus Christ. God decided to deal with sin, but the problem was that God made it clear throughout the Old Testament that sin leads to death. In the Old Testament, people sacrificed animals as a way to show how sorry they were for their sins. And that was only temporary. God’s plan all along was to send His Son Jesus-a perfect human being-to be the final and ultimate sacrifice.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Why did Jesus have to die?
Jesus died to take the penalty our sins deserved. In essence, he took our punishment so that we wouldn’t have to. Now because of Jesus, the way is prepared for us to be able to have a personal relationship with a holy God. The amazing part also Jesus did not stay dead, in fulfillment of the scriptures after 3 days God rose Him from the dead and He is alive right now! Which is a promise to us that we will also rise from the dead and go to heaven to be with him.
1 Peter 3:18 – For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.
So what do you need to do next?
You simply need to believe. That doesn’t mean you will not have further questions or even understand everything. It simply means recognizing that you are indeed a sinner in need of a Savior. You recognize you cannot be good enough a person for a perfect God. And you understand that God loved you so much that he sent Jesus to save you.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
You respond by receiving Christ as your personal Savior
“Receiving Christ” means acknowledging your belief in Christ, inviting him to come into your life, turning to God from your present way of living, repenting of your sins, and then beginning the adventure of letting God direct your life! And the moment you ask, it’s done.
John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Would you like to accept Him now? Say this prayer below:
Dear Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I know I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I repent of my sins and turn away from my old way of doing things. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead and confess with my mouth that you are Lord, today I make you my Lord and Savior of my life. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and lead and guide me all the days of my life, thank you Jesus, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
