A friend of mine wrote this by the Power of the Holy Spirit to deliver to her church this Sunday morning, but I think the message here is too great to not share with the world. Enjoy this Sonday sermon in Jesus name.

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED: ALL SCRIPTURE IS TAKEN FROM THE VOICE VERSION OF THE HOLY BIBLE

Holy Spirit, i ask you to help me share your word with those who have gathered here today, in Jesus’ name, amen.

We all have whether we are aware of it not, the creative ability to accomplish anything God has predestined us to walk in.

He has given us all a vision that goes way beyond our human understanding, and God wants us to know that it only takes a little vision with faith for him to turn it around into something great…

When it comes to your or my vision, let us not fret if we only see a little portion of what GOD has for us, because every great thing had to start out with a small beginning, so to God small is great in his eyes…

It takes time for our vision to grow or to develop God’s way….

Since God is the developer of his vision which he has placed within us, he will give you and i a little here and a little there, as he knows exactly where we are at when it comes to the supernatural…

Just as we were formed and fashioned in the womb in stages, so God wants to form and develop his vision for you and i in stages which will in the fullness of time help us to see, hear, speak, and move by his spirit his way

It is far better to have some vision than no vision at all… We say we have 20/20 vision, but do we see it God’s way, time will tell…

God said that without a vision the people perish, and if the vision is not from God, then the vision will surely perish, why? Simply put, God is not in the vision…

God, when he said in his word that his people perish from a lack of knowledge, or a lack of vision, he did not say that the vision or the knowledge of the vision had to be a certain size or shape, all he said was: “without a vision, his people will perish… (see Proverbs 20:19; Hosea 4:6; and 2 Corinthians 4:18)

“Be thou my vision:” the song writer wrote: be thou my vision, o Lord of my heart, be thou my vision heart of my whole heart…” “love the Lord thy God with all of thine heart…” Says the Lord (see Deuteronomy 6:5).

While deaconess Gerri on Tuesday night said that “God is her beginning and end,”

Psalm 127:1 tells us that unless the eternal builds the house those who labor to raise it will have worked for nothing. Unless the eternal stands watch over the city those who guard it have wasted their time.

Let’s look at the word: ‘unless…’ simply put, if the Lord is not the builder or maker of our house, city, or vision, then anything we see or plan will be in vain, why? Because without the Lord we can do nothing…

Jesus, in John 15:5 said: I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear great fruit. Without me, you will accomplish nothing.

Our city is our vision and since our city dwells within us, then the vision of our city is in our heart and since our city is in our heart, what is in our heart will bear fruit, and since the fruit of our city is our village, then our village represents future generations to come…

One faith cell at a time our village begins with a cell called ‘faith’, and faith cells will increase one cell at a time which does not happen overnight.

A faith cell takes time to develop and will form into the shape specifically designed and crafted by the master craftsman’s hand… This is why we can say that we are unique individuals in his eyes, there is no one else like you or me…

The more science tries to discredit God, the more God gives evidence as to why science should give him all the credit…

However, without God, that faith cell will have no beginning or end… It simply cannot and will not exist no matter how hard we try to make it happen, nothing will happen… Without God nothing is possible

The same can be said about our vision: all we need is one faith cell planted by God in our heart, that’s all it will take to see his vision for us his way, if we allow him…

Jesus envisioned the end result of his vision before fulfilling his purpose, and God has placed within us that same ability by his spirit to see the end result of our vision before fulfilling our purpose here on earth.

God is the author of his vision in us, and as Jesus prayed in the garden, father, nevertheless, not my will, but thy will be done,” we too can pray the same way about our vision: “Father, nevertheless, not our vision, but your vision be done.”

We were not created to receive the supernatural all at once, there is no vision that is too small for God, why? Because he planted his vision in us before we knew it was there (see Jeremiah 1:5).

A city on a hill just as it takes time for our vision to develop, it takes time before his vision for you and i to become the ‘light’ on the hill so to speak… Matthew 5:14-16 and you, beloved, are the light of the world. A city built on a hilltop cannot be hidden. Similarly it would be silly to light a lamp and then hide it under a bowl. When someone lights a lamp, she puts it on a table or a desk or a chair, and the light illumines the entire house. You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to me, and may turn and praise your father in heaven because of it.

Just as it takes time for a faith cell to develop in the womb, so it also has the same effect on your vision… All we need is one cell with faith to activate our vision.

Your vision and my vision has God’s seal stamped upon it which means he is the author and finisher of his vision which he planted within you and I…

Jesus, in Matthew 5:13 and I am paraphrasing what Jesus said: he said: “we are the salt of the earth, and if that salt should lose it’s worth or value, then that salt becomes worthless…”

Did you know that there is such a thing as a salt covenant… (see 2 Chronicles 13:5; Numbers 18:19, and Leviticus 2:13)

And did you know that Bermuda at one time had a hand in what is known as the salt trade and commerce business… (go to: www.bermudasun.bm/content/news/news/article/company-that-s…salt/…/76183… Which you will find on the web in their march 21, 2014 edition)…

What has all this to do with your or my vision, everything? If we don’t know our history, we won’t see our future…

Just as a grain of salt comes together with every other grain of salt which is needed to complete the trade, so your vision and mine starts out small and over time develops into a bigger picture for you and I to not just see it, but we will know and discern the times and seasons when that vision has to be birthed, and all it took was just one cell of faith to start the process.

Since a cell of faith’s generations, then we will produce generations called faith in the future.

The future develops into a village. The village develops into a city which doesn’t happen overnight, but realizing this that contained in the center of that city are our grandparents who invested in our parents, who then become the city.

As children our parents were part of a village, and all it took was a mother and a father to raise their child, however, it does take a village to raise a group of children. In other words, we need one another…

Our city is our vision: our vision is our heart: our heart is our fruit: our fruit is our village: our village is our future, and it will all come together with love:

Hebrews 11:10 …Abraham looked ahead to a city with foundations; a city laid out and built by God.

Abraham looked for, searched for, pressed forward for, stay focused for, thirsted for, journeyed for a city whose foundation and builder was God

The Body of Christ (TBOC) is a city whose foundation and builder is God: TBOC believes in building a foundation based upon love, repentance, and forgiveness: TBOC believes God first, then family, why? Because we are all seeking a city whose foundation and builder is God… TBOC is a city whose vision is to reach out and touch others through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit the world needs to see a city on a hill whose light is shining brightly that it cannot be hid under a bushel, and i believe TBOC is that city to meet the need. What say you?

Our pastors are the center, naturally speaking, or the capitol in the city of TTMM… TTMM has suffered gains and losses true… People come and go all the time; we call this church hopping… Our pastors have invested in their elders, deacons/deaconesses, and congregation, and we all represent future generations to come TTMM’s vision is to build, build what: a city whose foundation and builder is God…

Now, we too as individuals have a vision or mandate God has given us, it may be small to start with, but to God small is great…

However, in saying all that, are we looking to build God’s city his way, or are we trying to build his city the way we think it should go? Are we fully persuaded that we are on the right track when it comes to God’s vision for us?

Many will quickly say ‘yes,’ but are they really understanding what they are saying?

To quote anonymous who said: “when it comes to being fully persuaded, it means more than just being fully persuaded. When tests and trials come, are we fully persuaded to do it God’s way, or our way…”

Yes, there is no doubt in my mind that everyone within the sound of my voice is fully persuaded that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin, suffered under the hands of Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died was buried, rose again bodily from the grave, and now sits in a glorious place at the right hand of his father.”

It only takes a few minutes to present the gospel, and I am fully persuaded that we all are fully persuaded that Jesus Christ conquered death, hell, and the grave at Calvary.

I am fully persuaded that we are fully persuaded that Christ is our victorious king who is alive and well, and the enemy is now a part of his footstool, then all of sudden those tests and trails start to come out of nowhere, and when they do come the partnership known as doubt and unbelief wants to creep in to test our being “fully persuaded statement” to see if we will stand no matter what comes our way

Deaconess Donna sings her song: ‘stand,’ but are we fully persuaded enough to stand our ground … (see Ephesians 6:18)

We and our individual families are individual cells which develop into a village which then grows into a city.

So now the times of trying and testing are here… Are we “fully persuaded” enough to stand for righteousness, or will we cave in the face of persecution…

Our “fully persuaded” statement will always have the evidence of our fruit following it as we stand for righteousness…

Here are just a couple of examples for us to ponder: businesses are having to close down because their faith goes against the LGBT community…

Clergy and members of their ministries are being attacked daily, children are being abused and murdered.

Abortion is rampant, people are being arrested for feeding the hungry, and anyone who dares makes a righteous stand against the world’s agenda are being accused of spreading ‘hate speech’ etc…

The body of Christ is that city whose author, founder, foundation, and architect is God himself. The world is looking for such a city, but what are they seeing.

Are they seeing the city that Hebrews 11:10 writes about, a city whose foundation and builder is God, or are they seeing a city that is replicating too much of what is happening in the very world they are seeking to escape from…

The Body of Christ is the city of refuge for this lost and dying world who desperately need a touch from the master’s hand…

But what about our individual cities? We all start out as a cell and grow, and the fruit of that cell characterizes your and my city… Matthew 7:17-20 writes: people and their lives are like trees. Good trees bear beautiful, tasty fruit, but bad trees bear ugly, bitter fruit. A good tree cannot bear ugly, bitter fruit; nor can a bad tree bear fruit that is beautiful and tasty. And what happens to the rotten trees? They are cut down. They are used for firewood. When a prophet comes to you and preaches this or that, look for his fruits: sweet or sour? Rotten or ripe?

And what season is your city or my city in… Whether it be winter, spring, Summer, or fall all we need to do is call says the spirit of God…

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what season we are in. All we have to do is look around us. Every day in and day out darkness is creeping throughout every nation upon the face of the earth, and it is closer to ours than we think…

Let us not allow familiarity to cause you or i to turn us against one another, especially when things don’t go the way we perceive or think the way that they should have gone, or could’ve gone.

Instead of accusing and bruising one another, not just within these walls, but in our families, the market places etc; maybe we should instead stop and think, and ask God what he is trying to show us concerning the situation we find ourselves in before uttering a word…

Are we truly discerning the times and seasons we are in… As was mentioned before, all we need is to stop, look around and be aware of our surroundings…

Want to know the times and the seasons we are in, then I encourage you to read scriptures such as Proverbs 30:11-14, and others.

God’s word has the answer for every question we may have, and by the guidance of his Holy Spirit; we will know exactly the times and seasons we are in…

Let us seek God for a greater increase of discernment daily by his spirit.

The Holy Spirit will never let us down or lead us astray… He is truth and his truth is sound, sure, and solid.

Proverbs 31:8-9 writes: speak out on behalf of those who have no voice, and defend all those who have been passed over. Open your mouth, judge fairly, and stand up for the rights of the afflicted and the poor.

Let us protect and provide for our individual city, don’t point the finger, argue and bicker over the simplest little thing that comes along… The results of our “today” actions or words will have an effect for the future that awaits our generations…

Don’t fall for the trap that comes from the enemy, because it’s his job to cause conflict… Satan is in desperate mode, and he doesn’t care, because it is his mission to kill, steal, disrupt, and destroy whomever and whenever he can…

Jesus is the light of the world Jesus is the author and foundation upon which we build our faith upon. Jesus, is the capstone, the cornerstone who once was rejected and has now become the chief cornerstone (see psalm 118:22)

Concerning the city: Isaiah 60:18c and 58:12c reads: you will name the city walls salvation, and the city gates praise. And all around, others will call you “repairer of broken down walls” and “rebuilder of livable streets.”

There will be no upper, lower or middle classes in the city, why? Because we are co-equal heirs together by the grace of God (see romans 8:14-17 and Philippians 2:3-4)

Hebrews 4:3 every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God (see also Phil. 3:20; Pro. 16:9; Isa. 27:5; 1 Chr. 28:20; 1 Cor. 3:6-15)

What does it take to build a city: build your city with the wisdom that comes from heaven as its foundation; seek God for his knowledge as opposed to silver and gold, and he will give you the understanding (see Proverbs 16:16, and 24:3-6)

Build your foundation with wisdom: James 3:13-18 who in your community is understanding and wise? Let his example, which is marked by wisdom and gentleness, blaze a trail for others. If your heart is one that bleeds dark streams of jealousy and selfishness, do not be so proud that you ignore your depraved state. The wisdom of this world should never be mistaken for heavenly wisdom; it originates below in the earthly realms, with the demons. Any place where you find jealousy and selfish ambition, you will discover chaos and evil thriving under its rule. Heavenly wisdom centers on purity, peace, gentleness, deference, mercy, and other good fruits untainted by hypocrisy. The seed that flowers into righteousness will always be planted in peace by those who embrace peace.

Repeat verses 17 and 18 heavenly wisdom centers on purity, peace, gentleness, deference, mercy, and other good fruits untainted by hypocrisy. The seed that flowers into righteousness will always be planted in peace by those who embrace peace.

Purity, gentleness, deference (humble submission and respect), mercy, and other good fruits untainted by hypocrisy (see Galatians 5:16-26) concerning your and my city, I cannot stress this enough; our city must be built on a foundation of prayer, praise and worship no matter what happens, what it looks like, or where it takes you. Pray! Pray! Pray!

Obey the laws of the land and pray for those who have the authority over you (see Romans 13) let us safeguard the fruit of our city: future generations are relying on us to do our part…

It is written in Revelation 21:3-7

The messenger of God said: the home of God is with his people. He will live among them; they will be his people, and God himself will be with them. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning no more, crying no more, pain no more. And the one who sat on the throne announced to his creation, see, I am making all things new… I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will see to it that the thirsty drink freely from the fountain of the water of life. To the victors will go this inheritance: I will be their God, and they will be my children.

Yes, we are all a part of a corporate vision, but God has placed within each and every individual his vision. Let us discern our times and our seasons that our cities is in, and remember no matter how small the vision, with God small becomes great…

Closing prayer: Lord, where we have made your vision too small in our eyes, we ask you to forgive us. Jesus instructed us to be children of light, and to let our light shine before all men, so you may be glorified in their eyes.

Father, where we have leaned upon the wisdom of others instead of seeking your wisdom which comes from above, I ask you to forgive us.

Your word instructs us to seek you, your kingdom and your righteousness above all things, so you can add to us daily the things which we need to carry out the purpose of your vision through us.

Father, no man is an entity to him or herself, and we are asking you to forgive us for not seeing ourselves as a single faith cell who connects within a corporate body, for the greater glory of your kingdom.

Father, we need one another, especially now as it seems as if the light of Christ is shining dimly upon a dark and weary world. Help us to see the Christ in one another, so the radiance of the light of Christ may emanate through us.

Help us to safeguard one another daily through prayer and intercession, and by whatever means you deem necessary to meet the needs of your people and souls everywhere.

Help us, father, both individually and corporately to be that city on a hill whose light cannot be hid.

Cause us as a corporate body of TBOC to be that city whose light shines like a beacon in the night who will welcome a weary soul and tell them that they will find peace, safety, and security here within our city walls, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
